Ultimate List of Fabulous Presents for 2 Year Olds Christmas
Being the Mother of a toddler girl and boy I can give you the lowdown on the most wanted presents for 2 year olds! There are lots of cool toys for 2 year old boys and girls! Just recently I went on a shopping spree and bought so much for my two year old daughter! I will share what I bought and what she asked for, apart from chocolate cake! Toddlers are energetic, full of fun and always wanting to learn and explore and the gifts I selected represent this!

For Your Little Princess – Presents for 2 Year Old Girls
These are solely gifts for 2 year old girls (but I know my little boy is partial to pushing the odd baby doll stroller!) Amelia is still a little tomboy so we did not buy her that much girly stuff, most of it was unisex. However here are some of the things I did buy her many of these involve pretend play. I picked the best toys for 2 year old girls I could think of based on what she likes to do!

Little Tikes Shopping Trolley – a big win win as Amelia loves loading and unloading. Plus she can push this around everywhere! I got her a pink one but you can get these in lots of different colors.
Cleaning Set – Hooray I am starting her early! She loves dusting, wiping worktops and brushing so it was only natural I would treat her to this for her Birthday.
Pots and Pans (with some water and lots of towels to dry up)- Yep Amelia loves to mess with water and pots and pans! She is always taking my good crockery so I figured it was the best time to treat her to some of her own! She does not yet own a toy kitchen but this is on the agenda in the next few months!
A small baby doll stroller! Yep Amelia had the Fisher Price Stroller Walker but we decided we would get her a more grown up version. Of course baby never stays in the stroller, instead it is full of other toys.
Button Art- Yes I know a 2 year old is technically too small for this but Amelia will get lots of fun from this, plus she loves watching me! I thought this would be the perfect way to get her started on arts and crafts.
A multipack of jigsaw puzzles – These are brilliant for fine motor skills and pattern recognition. I opted for Peppa Pig ones as that is all Amelia talks about right now!
A ride on motorbike – She asked for a ride on tractor but I could not justify it. Instead I opted for a pink motorbike! She is pretty steady on it but we never leave her unattended. I can see this as being one of those ride toys she plays with for a long time.
A Peppa Pig hopper – Here again this has a recommended age of 3 and up but my little girl loves bouncing up and down. It was a throw up between this and a trampoline but I felt the large versions were for older kids and I would wait until she was at least 4 before getting one of these.
Other great presents for 2 year old girls include the Leapfrog number lovin oven, a tea set like the Leapfrog musical tea set I already have, dress up for little girls (Amelia loves her witches’ dress and matching hat), jigsaws and books! I also treated Amelia to hair clips as her fringe has eventually started growing down over her eyes.

For Your Little Prince – Presents for 2 Year Old Boy
Hands up if you want some cool suggestions! I have got just the ticket or toy! Two year old boys love exploring and being a menace! Of course my little girl loves these cool toys for 2 year old boys as much as her Brother(I cannot remember who spends more time playing with Thomas the Train).

Thomas The Train Play Tent – It is recommended for 3 and up but boys (and girls) as young as 18 months can enjoy this train! Amelia has a Princess themed one so I thought it was only fair that I got Rhys a Thomas The Train one.
Little Tikes Cozy Pumper – Toddler boys love cars and everything car related so they will be sure to love this gas station where they can fuel up their toy cars! This would work particularly well with the Little Tikes Police car ride on.
Ride On Digger – I did not buy one of these but my little nephew had one of these and absolutely loves it hence why I have it in my list of presents for 2 year olds.
Fisher Price Little People Sit n Stand Skyway – I love these cool Fisher Price toys and the skyway is no exception. Hot wheel cars can also be used on this. My nephew has a similar set from Fisher Price and he still plays with it despite being 5 years old now.
Tool Set – Little Boys love to play with hammers and so forth! There are so many of these to choose from but I think a basic one is the best and safest option for toddler boys.
Outdoor toys for toddlers make fabulous presents for 2 year old boy as well. I particularly like toy lawnmowers and BBQ grill sets. Pretend play is such a big thing at this stage.
Building blocks and Lego Duplo sets are brilliant for fine motor skills. There are so many to choose from depending on your little boy’s interests.
Other Cool Toys and Presents for 2 Year Olds 2021
Amelia specifically requested the sand water table as she loves water and transferring water from container to container. She also loves digging sand and filling buckets and emptying them again. My husband and I debated over the sand water table as opposed to the Step 2 Waterfall wall which is pretty awesome. We could not justify buying both of these best backyard water toys.

This has to be one of the best presents for 2 year olds (despite the info saying it is for 3 and up). My two year old daughter absolutely loves writing with chalk and she has learnt to hold it correctly which means learning to write will be much easier for her. She loves rearranging the magnetic letters on the whiteboard. This is a great way for her to learn letters and words and therefore it is in my recommended toys that promote language development.
