Hands up Mom if you have an energetic little guy who needs constant fun and attention while playing outside?! Me too and that is why I have come out with lots of best outdoor toys for 1 year old boy. My little guy is just on his feet but goodness he has so much energy and is always wanting something to keep him busy! It was wearing me out chasing him around so I decided to buy some cool toys for 1 year old boys to play with in the garden to keep him happy!! Find out what Rhys likes best!

Water Toys for One Year Old Are Essential Outside Toddler Toys (at any time of the year!)
Anything to do with water is a huge hit!! Obviously you need to supervise your toddler when they are near water but I have found that I can sit and chill out on a sun lounger with a coffee whenever my little boy plays with some of the best backyard water toys.
Hands up who loves bubbles?! Me too and so does Rhys. I just switch on his bubble machine and he spends ages watching them, trying to catch them and trying to eat them! This is 20 minutes of peace guaranteed! There are so many available but I picked out a few of the best! These definitely beat the small tubs of bubbles that you have to blow yourself.

A small inflatable pool is also a massive hit, although this requires closer supervision. I decided to buy Rhys a slightly buyer pool that recommended so I could sit in it too!! Of course these make excellent outside toys for toddler girls also!
He loves sitting in the pool but he also loves filling buckets of water and emptying them out. He could spend 30 minutes repeating this over and over!
Good Toys for 1 Year Old Boys Who Like to Play Outdoors
Rhys loves ride on toys for 1 year olds, even more than his older sister, Amelia. What really surprises me how good his steering him! I have a small selection of ride toys for him to use outdoors including his Paw Patrol fire engine, Stride Ride Lion and some others shown below.
As well as these Rhys also loves push pull toys for toddlers!

Some of the best outdoor toys for 1 year old boy involve sport! Rhys loves to kick a football around as well as try to use a toy golf club. I think it is really important to get toddlers active as soon as possible and encourage a hobby and of course fitness for a lifetime! Of course at this age they have limited gross motor skills but sport helps these develop much quicker! In my opinion outside toddler toys are extremely important for mental health also.
I found a Little Tikes golf club set for Rhys to play outdoors. He is not much good with it yet but he loves throwing the balls around the garden and then collecting them so he still gets use from the toy! It does state it is for 2 and upwards but we bought it when he was 17 months old!
